Passionate about sports? We are, too.
The Cronkite School immerses students in professional and collegiate sports, offering unparalleled opportunities to learn the craft of sports communication hands-on, in the locker rooms and on the sidelines of major events, producing content for major media outlets and athletic organizations.
Cultivate your passion for sports into careers in sports journalism and strategic sports communications. Our students learn by doing—reporting, shooting, writing and creating—telling stories that matter about teams, athletes and issues across the sports world. Through our sports bureaus in Phoenix and Los Angeles, Cronkite students regularly cover teams and major events in the NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, NHL, NASCAR, PGA, LPGA and Division I athletics, including Olympics, Super Bowls, the NCAA basketball men’s and women’s Final Fours, the Fiesta Bowl and Spring Training. Students produce broadcast and digital content for Cronkite News (the news division of Arizona PBS), Pac-12 Networks, Bally Sports Arizona, Baseball America, Sun Devil Athletics and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee. It’s no wonder our alumni are not just employed in sports media—they’re running it.
