Tours for prospective first-year students

The Cronkite School provides building tours weekly that provide in-depth information about Cronkite’s undergraduate programs, resources and student opportunities.

When to visit: We recommend that prospective students visit on a weekday during the fall or spring semester to see current students in action. We’ll do our best to accommodate visitor schedules (particularly for out-of-state visitors), however, we cannot guarantee availability. Prior to making any travel arrangements, verify that your Experience ASU date offers an information session and tour with an with an event description that specifies the following: “You will also have an opportunity to attend an academic session from those available this day.”

Scheduling a tour: Cronkite welcomes visitors for a building tour on dates when an Experience ASU event is available on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus and specifies it’ll include a tour and an opportunity to attend an academic session. Tours commence Monday through Friday on select dates. Cronkite works with ASU Admission Services to offer the Cronkite building tour, preceded by an ASU information session and campus tour led by ASU Admission Services. You can register for a visit at visit.asu.edu/schedule. On that page, make the applicable selections for each drop-down box and select “Journalism” as the program of interest. After hitting “search,” the page will update and you can then select the “Downtown Phoenix campus” bubble. A calendar will appear where you must select a date that offers an “Experience ASU information session and tour” and states “You will also have an opportunity to attend an academic session from those available this day.” During the check-in process on the day of the Experience ASU visit, you’ll be asked the prospective student’s program of interest and must select the Cronkite School to receive the building tour. If you have questions, please contact the recruitment team at attendcronkite@asu.edu.
