Tour the Cronkite School
Visit our state-of-the-art, six-story building in Downtown Phoenix and see what makes our school special (hint: It's our people!).
We can’t wait to meet you!
Our state-of-the-art, six-floor building in Downtown Phoenix is the heart of the Cronkite School and we love to show it off! It’s home to Arizona PBS, four TV studios, 17 fully loaded editing rooms, classrooms, our First Amendment Forum—not to mention to students and faculty.
Take a virtual tour, or learn how to schedule a visit below.
Tours for prospective undergraduates
The Cronkite School holds regular building tours and information sessions that provide in-depth information about Cronkite’s undergraduate programs, curriculum and student opportunities.
When to visit: We recommend that prospective students visit on a weekday during the fall or spring semester, as that offers families the added opportunity to also visit classes, see students in action and meet key faculty members. However, we’ll do our best to accommodate visitor schedules, particularly if you’re joining us from out-of-state. See below to verify that there is a tour of Cronkite offered on your planned date prior to booking your travel arrangements.
Scheduling a tour: Cronkite welcomes visitors on most dates when a campus tour is offered. Tours commence Monday through Friday on select dates.
During the fall and spring semesters, optional sessions allow prospective students to observe the school’s nightly newscast on AZPBS. These sessions are held later in the day, following Experience ASU and Cronkite tours.
Scheduled Cronkite tours are preceded by a campus and housing tour and ASU information session. If you have questions about a Cronkite tour, please contact Cronkite’s outreach coordinator at email@example.com.
You can reserve your spot at visit.asu.edu. Be sure to check “Downtown Phoenix campus” and “Communications and Media” on the drop-down menu, then “Journalism” on the page that follows to be sure there is a Cronkite School session available on your preferred date.
Tours for prospective graduate students
We recommend that prospective graduate students schedule an appointment to visit the Cronkite School. Scheduling an appointment will provide the best experience and ensures the ability to meet one-on-one with a knowledgeable liaison regarding the admissions process and graduate curriculum. Visits may include a one-on-one session with admissions staff, campus tour, class visit or newscast observation.
Visits are customizable and will be coordinated based on your interests and availability. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 602.496.5055 to schedule a visit.
Tours for high school groups
We’re glad to arrange field trip tours for high school teachers, advisers and students interested in journalism and communications. Teachers and advisers should contact Joanna Alvillar, email@example.com, to make arrangements.
