Students learn to produce content from day one using text, photo, video, audio, social and immersive media, and graduate with portfolios of (often award-winning) work distributed by media partners across the country.

Choose your focus

Students can explore journalism, strategic communications, media leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary research, among other disciplines. Choose from more than a dozen capstone experiences in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Graduate funding available

All applicants are considered for Cronkite fellowships, assistantships and scholarships. December 1 is the priority deadline for funding.

Learn coast to coast, and beyond!

Students can spend semesters working in Cronkite News, our sports bureau or our strategic communications agencies in Phoenix, Washington and Los Angeles, or travel internationally on Study Abroad experiences just for Cronkite Students!

Cronkite’s career services

Each year, the Cronkite Career Services team places nearly 500 students in internships at more than 225 companies across the country. In addition to hosting recruiters and networking events, the team also provides comprehensive professional branding and career planning services.

Get sought-after digital marketing skills

Students may add a minor in digital audiences and learn key digital marketing skills in social media, search engines, analytics platforms, digital strategy and more.
