Building Hours

The Cronkite School is accessible during the following days and times, with technical staff support available: Fall and Spring Semesters:

  • Mondays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. to midnight
  • Fridays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 9 p.m.
  • The final week of each semester: 24/7 *

Full building access is not available during other hours, days and university holidays. ASU students, however, can access limited sections of the Cronkite Building 24/7, 365 days a year by using their ASU ID cards at the card reader outside the front entry and then sign in at the security desk. No technology staff is available during those hours, but the following student work spaces can be accessed:

  • The Library & Resource Center, which houses 30 fully equipped computer workstations as well as work tables and lounge chairs
  • The First Amendment Forum
  • Additionally, Cronkite students can access editing bays on the third floor (320 hallway) by completing the After-hours Edit Bay Access Form.

* During the final week of classes, the Cronkite School keeps a variety of computer labs (352, 354, 356, 660) and editing bays (320, 662) open and accessible 24/7 for students finishing end-of-semester projects. The Cronkite Building will open at noon the Sunday before the last day of classes and close at its normal time on the last day of classes. IT support will be available for the entire study period. Free Keurig coffee and tea also will be available in the First Amendment Forum between midnight and 7 a.m. Students will need their Sun Card to access the building between midnight and 7 a.m.
