The Cronkite School is open from 7 a.m. to midnight, Mondays through Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays; and noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays during the regular semester.
During the summer, the school is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. On weekends, the building is closed, but can be accessed with ASU ID cards. Summer hours are subject to change pending special events at the Cronkite School.
The Library & Student Resource Center on the second floor of the building adjacent to the First Amendment Forum is accessible to all students on a 24/7 basis. No technology support is available during off hours. To access the building, students may use their ASU ID cards at the card reader outside the front entry, then sign in with security.
The building is closed on university holidays. Students will be able to enter on these days using their student ID card, but tech support will not be available.
Students who need after-hours access to the third-floor edit bays in the Cronkite building should complete the After-hours Edit Bay Access Form.
During the final week of classes, the Cronkite School keeps a variety of computer labs (352, 354, 356, 660) and editing bays (320, 662) open and accessible 24/7 for students finishing end-of-semester projects. The Cronkite building will open at noon the Sunday before the last day of classes and close at its normal time on the last day of classes. IT support will be available for the entire study period. Free Keurig coffee and tea also will be available in the First Amendment Forum between midnight and 7 a.m. Students will need their Sun Card to access the building between midnight and 7 a.m.
