WHO WE ARE:

We’re a fast-moving, idea-sparking, deadline-crushing content team embedded inside one of the most dynamic entertainment companies in the country. On the Agile Content Creation Engagement Team (ACCET), we develop branded content, promotional creative, and social-first video that connects — emotionally and instantly.

Our mission? Bring bold ideas to life across every screen. Whether we’re building branded campaigns for our content centers and clients, developing killer creative for digital platforms, or producing memorable community campaign moments, our compelling work doesn’t just fill space — it makes noise.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Brand Content Creator, you’ll concept, write, shoot, and edit creative that stops thumbs, turns heads, and drives action. You’ll collaborate with a passionate crew of marketers who understand that great storytelling is part emotion, part strategy, and all hustle…all in an effort to deliver a message that meets the needs of our clients, both internal and external.

YOUR DAILY PLAYLIST:

    • Produce scroll-stopping, attention-grabbing content for TV, social, web, and wherever audiences are paying attention.

   • Write scripts, shoot footage, and edit everything from fast-turn social reels and promotional spots to longer-form branded videos.

   • Work directly with internal teams and external clients to bring visions to life.

   • Manage asset distribution across the network and track deliverables through Adobe Workfront.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE STAGE:

   • A passion for visual storytelling with a marketing mindset.

   • Strong camera skills and lighting savvy that make your footage shine.

   • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud — especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

   • A collaborative spirit with the confidence to lead a concept or run a solo shoot.

   • A portfolio that proves you can do the job — and push it further.

WHY IT MATTERS:

In a world flooded with content, we don’t settle for forgettable. We aim for emotional. We create moments that resonate, build brands, and move people to feel something — because that’s what drives results.

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?

  • Extensive video shooting experience with broadcast and DSLR cameras
  • Scripting of both short and long form spots
  • Ability to write, shoot and edit content that tells a compelling story
  • A strong understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography and composition
  • Non-linear editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Advanced knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats
  • Ability to maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles while employing strong communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of High-definition (HD) cameras and videography, motion graphics and creative lighting techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate internal and external employee and client relationships
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to routinely lift, carry and move equipment in excess of 40 lbs
  • A college degree is preferred

Job Summary/Description:

Are you the kind of person who refreshes social feeds before coffee? Who feels the rush of a breaking story and immediately thinks, "How do we tell this better than anyone else?" We're not looking for someone to just post content. We're looking for a digital powerhouse — a sharp, self-driven storyteller ready to own the digital landscape for one of Arizona's most trusted and recognized news brands. At Arizona's Family (KTVK/KPHO), you'll be at the epicenter of our digital operation — crafting fast-paced, high-impact content that reaches and resonates with millions of Arizonans every single day. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, keep reading.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What you’ll do
• Craft Compelling Narratives
• Transform complex breaking stories into clear, concise, and engaging AP-style articles built for today's digital audience — content that informs, captivates, and keeps readers coming back.
• Own Breaking News Delivery
• Write and deploy urgent, high-impact push notifications that cut through the noise and get critical information directly into the hands of our audience — instantly, accurately, and with authority.
• Ignite Social Conversations
• Create scroll-stopping social content — posts, stories, reels, and more — across all major platforms. You'll build community, spark engagement, and drive real interaction with our audience.
• Monitor, Analyze & Adapt
• Stay plugged into trending topics, real-time analytics, and the competitive landscape. Make smart, data-informed decisions on the fly to maximize content performance and audience reach.
• Collaborate Fearlessly
• Partner closely with our newsroom, reporters, and producers to deliver seamless, multi-platform coverage that's both rigorously accurate and genuinely electrifying.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 1–2+ years of experience in a fast-paced digital news environment — you've been in the trenches and thrived
• Exceptional AP-style writing and editing skills — you catch typos at a glance and write headlines that demand a click
• Audience-first mindset — you instinctively know which story belongs on which platform and why
• Sharp editorial judgment — you can analyze a situation, identify the key angle, and make confident decisions in real time
• Unmatched energy and initiative — you bring enthusiasm to every task and take full ownership of your work
• CMS & social media publishing proficiency — you navigate digital backends like a pro
• Grace under pressure — you don't just keep up when news breaks, you excel
• Relentless curiosity — you're always asking "What's next?" and "How can we do this better?"

Why You'll Love It Here
• Front-Row Seat to Breaking News: Be at the heart of Arizona’s digital news operation, making an immediate impact every single day.
• Innovation at its Core: Gray media is constantly evolving – you’ll be empowered to experiment, iterate, and lead new digital strategies.
• True Team Collaboration: Work alongside passionate journalists and digital pros who are committed to excellence and to each other.
• Real, Meaningful Impact: Your work will directly inform and connect with thousands of Arizonans – every day, that matters.
• Room to Grow: We invest in our people, offering clear pathways to expand your skills and advance your career in a dynamic media landscape.

Role Summary

We're looking for a content creator who can tell compelling stories through video across industry topics, business tactics, customer stories, and product.

This is a hands-on, video-heavy role focused on creating content that grabs attention, clearly communicates value, and cuts through the noise.

You are one of the faces and voices of the brand. You'll have the freedom to develop and experiment with new formats and styles of video storytelling, from short-form social to long-form deep dives, while working closely with the creative and marketing teams.

What You'll Do

  • Translate industry pain points, business tactics, customer stories, and product use cases into compelling video content.
  • Write high performing scripts and develop viral formats across short-form (social clips, reels) and longer-form (business explainers, product demos, customer stories). Build repeatable series, not one-offs.
  • Serve as on-camera talent across formats including green screen, whiteboard walkthroughs, in-office scenes, explainers, demos, and reactions.
  • Pull in teammates from across the office (sales, leadership) as characters and voices in content when the format calls for it.
  • Shoot, edit, and ship video content end-to-end when speed matters. Self-sufficient, not dependent on a full production setup.
  • Host webinars, conduct interviews, and deliver presentations when the format calls for a face and a voice.
  • Partner with the Video/Motion Lead on creative direction for higher-craft work, as well as finishing, color, motion, and polish beyond a first pass.
  • Create channel-specific variants for LinkedIn, paid social, email, and website.
  • Partner with demand gen to test and iterate on hooks, angles, CTAs, and storytelling structures using performance data.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Demand Gen to source strong topics and proof points.

What You Bring

  • 1-3 years in content creation, scripting, on-camera storytelling, or video-led marketing.
  • Portfolio with scripted video examples and measurable performance outcomes.
  • Strong writing instincts for concise, high-clarity storytelling.
  • Confidence and credibility on camera.
  • Strong sense of pacing, narrative structure, and attention dynamics.
  • Ability to produce consistently and iterate quickly.
  • Comfort with fast-paced experimentation.
  • Able to shoot, light, and edit your own video content — not dependent on a full crew to ship.

Nice to Have

  • B2B SaaS or product marketing content experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted writing and ideation workflows.
  • Experience interviewing customers or internal experts on camera.

Tools (Ideal Experience)

  • Filming: Comfortable self-shooting with phone or camera, lighting, and basic audio setup
  • Social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube — demonstrated performance
  • Video creation and editing: IG Edit, CapCut, Descript, Premiere
  • Performance and planning: Notion, Google Sheets, social media analytics
  • AI scripting and ideation: ChatGPT, Claude, Notion

This position will be based in our Phoenix office, with working hours Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Compensation

$70,000 - $80,000/year depending on experience in addition to our amazing benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Can you tell a story that stops a scroll and commands a screen? Are you the kind of editor who lives for the adrenaline of a breaking news cycle but also knows exactly how to cut a sports highlight reel that feels like a cinematic masterpiece? Arizona’s Family is looking for a versatile, high-energy News & Sports Video Editor to join our powerhouse team in Phoenix. We don’t just "cut tape" here—we craft visual experiences across broadcast, social, and digital platforms that empower Arizonans to live their best lives. If you’re a technical wizard with a creative soul and a "get it done" attitude, we want to see your reel.

What You'll Do:
• Craft compelling narratives: Edit high-impact video for news, sports, and special projects across all platforms (TV, web, and social).
• Own the sports beat: Cut fast-paced highlights and features for the Arizona Family Sports network that capture the heart of the game.
• Produce and edit sports podcasts: Collaborate directly with the sports department to bring our sports podcasts to life with high-quality audio and video production.
• Drive social engagement: Create platform-specific content that feels native to Instagram, TikTok, and X—because digital isn't an afterthought here.
• Capture the action: Step behind the lens to shoot high-quality video in the field when the story calls for it.

• Master the workflow: Work closely with the Chief News Editor to keep our content management and archive systems running like a well-oiled machine.

What You Bring:
• Non-linear expertise: You’re a pro with modern editing software and understand the technical nuances of digital workflows.
• A dual-threat mindset: You’re just as comfortable editing a hard news package as you are a hype video for a Friday night kickoff.
• Visual storytelling chops: You have an "eye" for great shots and an "ear" for perfect pacing.
• Field readiness: Experience (or a strong desire to learn) shooting video in the field—you aren't afraid to leave the edit suite.
• Digital fluency: You understand what makes a video go viral and how to optimize content for different social platforms.
• Grace under pressure: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and never miss a deadline (even when the clock is ticking down).
• Technical savvy: Familiarity with receiving feeds and managing assets in a content management system.
• Team-first attitude: You’re a communicator who lifts up the team and is always looking for ways to improve the final product.

Why You'll Love It Here:
• Be a part of a powerhouse: Work for Arizona’s most-watched station and a leader in multi-platform innovation.
• Real community impact: Your work helps raise millions for local charities and powers movements like our Surprise Squad.
• Creative freedom: We value "scrappiness" and digital-first thinking—if you have a great idea for a social edit, we want to hear it.
• Growth opportunities: At Gray Media, we focus on the training and development of the best and brightest in the business.
