Schedule an advising appointment
How to schedule an advising appointment
Students wishing to schedule an in-person, Zoom or phone appointment with their academic advisor may call 602-496-5055 on Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and the receptionist will help you. Please have your 10-digit ASU ID number ready when you call.
Zoom and phone appointments may also be booked via our online scheduling system. Please note the online scheduling system only displays two weeks of availability for each advisor. If the advisor’s schedule is full, students should return to the scheduling system the following day to see the next chronological day with open appointments.
Appointments for students who are new to ASU are 60 minutes; appointments for continuing ASU students are 30 minutes.
Please be aware that while academic advisors have some knowledge of financial aid and other financial issues, the ASU Financial Services Office can better answer your financial aid questions. That office may be reached at 855-278-5080.

Students admitted to or attending ASU but who are not in a Cronkite School program and who desire to change majors should go to the Changing Majors resource site. About halfway down, you will see several large maroon buttons; look for the one titled Change My Major. Click that, and answer the questions. You will be contacted about scheduling an appointment.
Students not yet eligible to enter their preferred Cronkite program
Students who are not yet eligible to enter a Cronkite School program but who wish to discuss their options with an academic advisor should call (602) 496-5055.
Email advising
Students may email their advisor in lieu of appointments for certain topics, including:
- Completing forms
- Confirming already enrolled classes
- Course Drop or Withdrawal questions
- Considering changing majors out of the Cronkite School
- Students with eAdvising holds
- Requests to add/remove minors
- Override request information
- Compassionate/medical withdrawal information
Please be aware that advisors may determine that email is not sufficient to address your questions or concerns and may instead recommend scheduling an appointment.
