The Cronkite School has partnered with The Diversity Pledge Institute (DPI) and URL Media to host a comprehensive series of workshops geared towards helping students prepare for life after college.

“The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication presents: Diversity Pledge Institute/URL Media: From College to the Real World” will focus on helping attendees learn how to find job opportunities, expand their network and advance their careers after graduation.

The workshops will take place on Aug. 29-30 at the Cronkite School in the Cronkite Executive Boardroom, room 444 and will be live-streamed. You can sign up here.

The workshops will cover a multitude of topics that will help students and prospective professionals learn how to transition from the classroom to the workplace; use their own story to tell the stories of others; pitch themselves for a job without any work experience; and create a professional network that could help land that next job.

The Diversity Pledge Institute uses research, analysis and education to support inclusion  in journalism, help improve  retention rates and support journalists’ career growth. URL Media is a company that shares and distributes content from a multi-platform network of media organizations.
