Cronkite School Hosting Discussion Tonight on How Media Lost Sight of Presidential Election

Following the surprise outcome of yesterday’s presidential election, Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication is hosting a special public discussion tonight on how the news media missed the most important political story of a generation.Cronkite School faculty will take part in “Missing the Story,” a panel discussion on the 2016 presidential election and how polling, new journalistic technologies and a 24/7, multiplatform news cycle could not capture the sentiment of a large portion of the American electorate.
