SmartPHX, the new smartphone app developed by Arizona State University students to help visitors and natives alike navigate downtown Phoenix, is garnering media attention across the state. Retha Hill, director of the New Media Innovation Lab, a program at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication that developed SmartPHX, talked about the project on “Horizon,” the public affairs show produced by Eight, Arizona’s PBS station.
