Mid-Career Master’s Degree

The Mid-Career Master of Mass Communication (MMC) is a flexible degree for experienced journalists and communications professionals looking to accelerate career growth or pivot to new roles in the industry. Students create individualized paths that include courses from Cronkite and across ASU to develop leadership in areas such as bilingual journalism, media entrepreneurship, emerging technology, leadership and inclusion, new media techniques and more.

Define your own objectives

Mid-career students define their own program objectives and select courses aligned with their goals. Students complete a capstone experience in Phoenix, Los Angeles or Washington, D.C., or a personalized culminating project.

Mid-career students incorporate classes from across ASU’s schools and colleges, tapping into expertise from colleagues in business, law, health innovation, sustainability and more

All applicants are considered for Cronkite fellowships, assistantships and scholarships. December 1 is the priority deadline.

The 30-credit Mid-career MMC program can be completed in as few as two semesters, or part-time over a longer period.
