Join the ASU Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Consulado General de México en Phoenix and the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations as we delve into the intriguing intersection of community theater and documentary filmmaking in the context of U.S.-Mexico Cultural Diplomacy.

Gain insights from renowned filmmaker and visiting Fulbright Scholar, Professor Carlos Gonzalez Garcia, who brings over 25 years of expertise in the arts. Discover the transformative power of his work in Zacatecas, Mexico, where he sheds light on the traditional Morisma de Bracho Festival—a vibrant theatrical spectacle rooted in colonial heritage, uniting over 10,000 Zacatecans in celebration.

The reception, documentary showing and conversation with Professor Carlos Gonzalez Garcia will be held on April 22 at 5:30 pm at Park Central’s Goldwater Conference Center sponsored by Plaza Companies. Attendees will be treated to appetizers and beverages.
