Former Washington Post Executive Editor Martin Baron will visit the Cronkite School on March 11 to discuss his book “Collision of Power.” Baron will be interviewed by Cronkite School Dean Battinto L. Batts Jr.
“Collision of Power” details Baron’s experiences leading The Washington Post newsroom at a time when Amazon founder Jeff Bezos bought the publication and Donald Trump later won the presidency. The book describes the pressures Baron and his colleagues faced as they looked to meet the new owner’s demands while covering a president that launched unprecedented attacks on the media.
