The Big Truth: Who Can You Trust? National Event

The moderated program includes a panel of community members, students and special guests who will be engaged in a focused discussion of critical questions at the heart of our national discourse today: Why is there election denialism? Where does it come from? What can be done to address it? What is at the core of the problem?

Leveraging the book, The Big Truth: Upholding Democracy in the Age of “The Big Lie (2022) written by CBS’s Chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett and David Becker, executive director and founder of the nonpartisan, non-profit Center for Election Innovation & Research and foremost elections expert, the program will extend and deepen the points made by Major and David through moderation by renowned communications expert Frank Luntz.

This program is a collaboration between ASU Cronkite School for Journalism, USC Center EDGE, USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, USC Center for the Political Future and the McCain Institute.
