You are cordially invited to attend the introduction of the 2023-2024 Hubert H. Humphrey Cohort by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cronkite 256. Following the ceremony, there will be refreshments and light bites available.
We are excited to welcome and celebrate the Humphreys Fellows at Arizona State University and the legacy of Hubert H. Humphrey, former Vice President of the United States and civil rights advocate.
During the ceremony, each fellow will introduce themselves and share their vision for change-making in their home country. Hedy Emery, cultural service provider of Native American Connections, will facilitate a community blessing. Elvia Díaz, editorial page editor of the Arizona Republic, will share her experience in making a difference in Phoenix and beyond. Amy Nemith, program manager at the Institute of International Education, will speak about the significance of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program.
