ASU Cronkite Carnegie Professor Rick Rodriguez will moderate a panel featuring Independent Newspaper Association and former La Voz reporter Valeria Fernandez, 12 News reporter Veronica Sanchez and ASU Transborder Chicana/o Latina/o Studies Professor Paul Espinosa. Panelists will explore issues of trust in covering immigrant communities.
ASU student journalists’ work on immigration and cross-cultural immersion will be discussed, as will activist reporting.
