The Cronkite School and Arizona PBS will host a family reception on Nov. 5 for students and families to celebrate ASU Family Weekend.
The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the First Amendment Forum, where families can mingle with the deans and other leadership, and find out what’s new for journalism, sports journalism and strategic communications students.
Building tours led by Cronkite ambassadors and Arizona PBS activities for children will be available. Light refreshments will be served.
The reception is part of the annual ASU Family Weekend on Nov. 5-7, which allows families to visit ASU’s campuses and experience what life is like for their students. Campus-wide activities include ASU traditions such as attending a Sun Devil football game and hiking “A’ mountain in Tempe, as well as enjoying fun and educational family activities to learn more about their student’s experience at ASU.
“We know family support goes a long way in student success here at Cronkite,” said Assistant Dean Melanie Asp Alvarez. “We look at this family reception as a way to celebrate those important members of our Cronkite and Arizona PBS community.”
