Blaze Radio: College Radio at ASU/Cronkite

KASC (Blaze Radio) is an AM radio station serving all four campuses of the ASU community. The student-run college radio station broadcasts at 1330 AM 24 hours a day during the school year and is operated by students under the supervision of a Cronkite School faculty adviser.

KASC broadcasts out of the Cronkite School’s state-of-the-art radio studio and provides students with professional radio experience. Students produce news, talk, music and sports shows that air on AM radio, in public spaces across all ASU campuses and online.

Students can volunteer in a variety of roles, including news, sports, programming, performance, production, promotion, sales and management. Many Cronkite students opt to get involved with Blaze Radio as freshmen.

The faculty adviser is Patti Piburn, a Ph.D. student at the Cronkite School. She can be reached at pattipiburn@asu.edu.
