Cronkite News – Digital Production

The Cronkite News – Digital Production bureau gives students unparalleled professional experience as Web producers and multimedia specialists.

Students work at least two full days a week producing the website for Cronkite News (, a division of one of the country’s largest public television stations, Arizona PBS. They manage social media for Cronkite News, analyze audience Web metrics and optimize stories for search engines with the goal of maximum story reach and distribution. And they experiment with new tools and new ways to tell stories, creating interactive maps, graphics and timelines as well as data visualizations, audio and visual content.

The Digital Production experience positions students for careers as Web producers, SEO and web analytics specialists, editors and multimedia journalists.
