The Cronkite School has cancelled summer high school camps summer due to the Covid-19 virus.

Students who already have submitted their applications to the three Cronkite Camp programs — Summer Journalism Institute, High School Media Innovation Camp and the Cronkite Sports Broadcast Boot Camp — will be given first review for program opportunities in 2021.

Youth Camps and Enrichment Programs

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication offers a series of camps and enrichment programs for middle and high school students. Programs take place during traditional school breaks, and are based at the state-of-the-art Cronkite School on ASU’s downtown campus, or in the field. Programs are led by faculty, staff and trained Cronkite student counselors.

The Cronkite School’s middle school camps give younger students a taste of what it’s like to write, produce video, cover sports and create content for social platforms responsibly. Our day camps are the perfect place to satisfy a student’s budding interest in journalism or media production.

The Cronkite School offers year-round programs for high school students interested in journalism, sports broadcasting, social media do’s and don’ts and more. Day camps are available during traditional school breaks, while summer programs offer a traditional residential college experience.
