Toolkit for Remote Work

Most of us are new to working at home, and almost all of us are new to working there full time. We’ve been sharing ideas for working effectively from home, through training sessions on Zoom, tipsheets and PowerPoints. This is a list of links to the material we’ve gathered so far. Faculty and staff are adding ideas in a Slack channel; we’ll share those here too. And we’ll keep adding to the list as we conduct more training.

Coronavirus and Cronkite

Despite the tremendous challenges our community, nation and world face today with the coronavirus pandemic, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication is continuing our educational mission unabated by transforming our 193 in-person courses into immersive, remote learning environments. The Knight-Cronkite Technology Fund

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has awarded a grant to the Cronkite School to help foster innovation in local television newsrooms across the country.

The grant will support the Knight-Cronkite Technology Fund by matching creators of cutting-edge tools with local newsrooms willing to test them.
