Wrigley Lecture Series: Sustainability as Freedom

A Talk with Thomas Friedman

Thursday, February 26, 2015 - 6:30pm

In celebration of Julie Ann Wrigley’s global leadership in sustainability, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Thomas Friedman will be speaking at ASU.

In this talk, "Sustainability as Freedom," Friedman will argue that what freedom was to our parents' generation, sustainability is to this present generation.

Friedman is renowned for his direct reporting and sophisticated analysis of complex issues facing the world. He has authored several award-winning books including "Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution — and How It Can Renew America," "The World is Flat" and most recently "That Used to Be Us: How America Fell Behind in the World It Invented and How We Can Come Back."
