Atlantic Senior Editor Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of “The Beautiful Struggle,” discusses the conflicted and hopeful state of black America as part of the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy's Visionary Lecture Series.

The lecture series provides a venue for innovative social architects to present new ideas and projects related to race and democracy. This event is Phoenix's premier lecture on race and participatory democracy.
