Students and faculty are invited to attend the national conference of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers March 27-29 at the Cronkite School. There is no registration fee for the weekend programs.
Michael Lewis, heralded author of "Moneyball," "The Blind Side" and other financial titles, will be a Friday keynote speaker at noon in the First Amendment Forum, where most of the teaching sessions will be located. Lewis is winner of this year's Distinguished Achievement Award, SABEW's highest honor.
SABEW, which is 51 years old and is the largest organization of business journalists in the world, is conducting a variety of sessions, including keynotes, panel discussions and skills workshops.
Of particular interest to students will be sessions with recruiters and a mentoring program, details for which are still being planned.

The conference is expected to draw 250 to 275 of the nation's top editors and reporters in finance and economics.
