The PR Lab Mentorship Lecture, established in honor of Enid R. Pansky, is the Cronkite School's signature public relations event. This year's speaker is veteran government communicator Gail Adams-Jackson.
Adams-Jackson has more than 30 years of experience in communications and government relations, working with federal, state and local governments. As director of communications for the International Association of Geophysical Contractors, she leads communication efforts for the international trade association, which represents the geophysical services industry.
Previously, she was a presidential appointee serving as the director of Intergovernmental and External Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Interior. She also is the recipient of the Coast Guard Distinguished Service Award, the highest non-Coast Guard recognition given to civilians by the Commandant of the Coast Guard.
Adams-Jackson will discuss the value of mentorship and public service. Following the discussion, she will present Cronkite Public Relations Lab student Torunn Sinclair with the Aspire Award, recognizing her public relations achievements and desire to emulate her mentor's career and character.
This event is made possible, in part, by a generous gift from Scott Pansky, co-founder of Allison+Partners, a global public relations firm.
There is a special reception at 5:30 p.m.
