The ASU Chapter of the National Press Photographers Association will be hosting a screening of “HeartChild,” a documentary film about 29-year-old Crys Worley, who is the mother of an autistic child.
Shot and produced by Ben Duffy and Michael Sassano, the film closely follows the family during the early stages of the A.skate Foundation, a nonprofit created by Worley to host free skateboarding clinics around the country and world for children with autism. At the same time, Worley struggles with her own health and making ends meet while investing a huge amount of personal money for the foundation and raising her two sons.
