Following the surprise outcome of yesterday’s presidential election, the Cronkite School is hosting a special public discussion tonight on how the news media missed the most important political story of a generation.

The panelists via video conference will include Leonard Downie Jr., Weil Family Professor of Journalism and former Washington Post executive editor; Andrés Martinez, Cronkite professor of practice and former Los Angeles Times editorial page editor; Eric Newton, Cronkite Innovation Chief and former Knight Foundation executive; and Julia Wallace, Frank Russell Chair and former Cox Media Group executive and Atlanta Journal-Constitution editor-in-chief.

The talk will be moderated by Cronkite School Dean and Arizona PBS CEO Christopher Callahan and will be live streamed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8XZdPagOrQ and on Facebook at facebook.com/CronkiteSchool".
