Examining the Crisis in Syria

Thursday, January 15, 2015 - 3:30pm

The cost of the conflict in Syria within its borders is clear: More than 190,000 dead. Countless injured. Towns demolished. Half of Syria’s 22 million people have fled their homes, and many are refugees. But the global price has yet to be realized. What are other nations failing to do? And what are the consequences?

Watch a live stream from Washington, D.C., of "Examining the Crisis in Syria," a discussion presented by ASU's Center on the Future of War and Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in partnership with New America. The discussion features experts on international law, the documentation of atrocities in Syria, reporting on the conflict and other relevant topics.

There will be a discussion on Syria following the live stream in the First Amendment Forum.
