Learn how L.A.-based entertainment and arts journalists broke into the second-largest media market in the U.S. and hear about the diversity, equity and inclusion challenges that Latinos face in journalism. Panelists will discuss how they forged successful careers in entertainment journalism and give advice on how to work in this highly competitive media specialization. The event, co-hosted by the California Chicano News Media Association and the Cronkite School, will be moderated by Cronkite alumnus Andres Diaz, a field producer for the NBCUniversal program "Access Hollywood."
Panelists include Suzy Exposito, music reporter for the Los Angeles Times; Carolina A. Miranda, arts and urban design columnist for the Los Angeles Times; and Amanda Salas, entertainment anchor and reporter for "Good Day LA."
