The Mayo-Cronkite Fellowship is a condensed version of the Cronkite School’s professional master’s program designed to make future physicians better communicators.
The program is open to medical students from the prestigious Mayo Clinic who have completed two years of medical school.
The program compresses Cronkite’s 15-month master’s program into 12, and provides students with journalism and multimedia training.
Fellows study under veteran journalists and professors at Cronkite, including former Washington Post Executive Editor Leonard Downie Jr., former Minneapolis Star Tribune Editor Tim McGuire and Pulitzer-winning investigative reporter Steve Doig.
Fellows return to Mayo following their time at Cronkite.
