Lauren MuccioloLauren Mucciolo is the executive producer at the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism, where she oversees students in groundbreaking, professional-level multimedia investigations.

Prior to joining the Cronkite faculty in 2019, Mucciolo produced or directed numerous documentaries for PBS "Frontline," as well as other broadcasters, including the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK, covering such topics as criminal justice, poverty, healthcare and the economy. A three-time News & Documentary Emmy nominee and two-time Grierson nominee, she has won two RFK Journalism Awards, an Online Journalism Award, a Jury Prize at SXSW and a Best Director Award from the Royal Television Society.

From 2000-2011, Mucciolo worked at the City University of New York, where she produced educational and cultural content and led program development for its NYC-based TV station, in addition to teaching, designing curriculum and running professional development programs for humanities faculty. Mucciolo earned a master’s degree in liberal arts from the CUNY Graduate Center and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
