Students in Cronkite's Master of Mass Communication program may choose a focus on health journalism in their final semester, reporting for Cronkite News, the news division of Arizona PBS.
Journalism students who are part of the Southwest Reporting Initiative focus on health care news and information for Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Southern California and Texas, with a particular emphasis on Latino, Native American and Spanish-speaking border communities.
The Cronkite School is conducting a national search for two Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Professors in Health News. The professors of practice will provide editorial leadership and guidance to students in a daily newsroom environment and connect students and their work to regional and national news outlets.
