Cronkite business journalism students have worked in business journalism internships at major print, online and broadcast news organizations.
“Besides the strong interest of our students in business journalism, we have been delighted by the respect accorded them by professional newsrooms that cover business,” said Andrew Leckey, the Reynolds Chair in Business Journalism at the Cronkite School. “Business journalism continues to be a strong area of expansion because understanding money and the economy have never been more critical throughout the world.”
Cronkite students have in recent years interned in the following newsrooms:
Bloomberg News--New York and Chicago
Center for Public Integrity--Washington, D.C.
Fox Business News
KNBC Los Angeles
Los Angeles Times
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
National Journalism Program—Washington Business Journal
New Orleans Times-Picayune
Phoenix Business Journal
Reuters--Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.
USA Today, Washington, D.C.
The Cronkite Business Journalism Specialization and the Reynolds Chair in Business Journalism, introduced in the 2009-2010 academic year, are funded by the Las Vegas-based Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
Undergraduates and graduate students can participate in the specialization, which includes print, online and broadcast journalism.
