Mark Reda is a lecturer and supervises the webcast production of nearly 100 ASU athletics events for the Pac-12 Network. The webcasts are crewed and produced by Cronkite students.
Reda was a Cronkite adjunct professor teaching Sports Reporting from 2015-2017. From 2009-2014, he oversaw the student-led production of an ASU sports magazine program that aired on Fox Sports Arizona.
Reda spent over 35 years in live sports broadcasting. He worked for FOX, CBS, Turner and ABC on events including the Super Bowl, NFL Playoffs, NCAA Final Four, British Open, NBA Postseason Playoffs and MLB’s League Championship Series. He produced the Arizona Diamondbacks broadcasts from 1998 to 20007. He then led the production department at Fox Sports Arizona as coordinating producer. During his tenure at FSAZ, his staff was awarded 42 regional Emmys (with 155 nominations) and the network was presented a Governor’s Award in 2010.
Reda has been awarded 10 regional Emmys, one National Emmy, one Telly and was honored by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Region of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences with a Silver Circle Award, commemorating over 25 years of service to the broadcast community. He has been on the RMSR Board of Governors for a decade and is the first vice-president/awards chair.
