Kathy Kudravi is a professor of practice for the Sports Knowledge Lab and executive editor of GlobalSport Matters, the publication of the Global Sport Institute.

Kudravi was the owner of Kudravi Media, a communications and media consultancy based in Atlanta for four years where she helped refine and grow startup and legacy media companies.

Before opening her own business, she helped launch American Sports Network in 2015. She was also CNN's editorial director, sports where she oversaw domestic and international sports content for CNN, CNN International and Headline News.

Prior to joining CNN, Kudravi was a news editor and bureau chief at ESPN, responsible for a staff of 40 who reported for SportsCenter. She also spent 13 years at newspapers ranging from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The Tennessean in Nashville, The Plain Dealer in Cleveland and the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Sun News.

Kudravi is a two-time Emmy and APSE award winner. While at CNN, she won a Foreign Press Association award for Best Sports Story of 2013 for "World Sport Presents: Branded a Rebel."

She is active in the Association for Women in Sports Media, having served on the board as both secretary/treasurer, and chair of the Executive Committee. She is a graduate of Kent State University.
