Jason Manning

Jason Manning is executive director of Strategic Communication and Digital Media for Educational Outreach and Student Services.

Manning is also a professor of practice at the Cronkite School where he teaches courses and serves as managing editor of the Cronkite Borderlands Initiative.

Prior to joining ASU, Manning was politics editor for washingtonpost.com, where he led digital coverage of the federal government and national campaign politics. He has also held positions at PBS NewsHour and U.S. News & World Report.

Manning holds a master’s degree in history from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, with certification in Latin American Studies, from the University of Florida.

He has appeared on numerous Web journalism panels and is the author of a chapter in the journalism textbook "News Now: Visual Storytelling in the Digital Age," available from Pearson Higher Education.

In November 2011 Manning was a guest lecturer on multimedia journalism at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) in the Dominican Republic.
