2007 Walter Cronkite Award and LuncheonMONDAY Join Walter Cronkite and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in honoring Jane Pauley, the 2007 recipient of the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism. Jane Pauley has been one of the most respected figures in American broadcast journalism for more than 30 years with a television career that spanned morning, daytime and primetime. She is best known for her work as longtime anchor of NBC’s “Today” show and founding co-host of “Dateline NBC.” She anchored the weekend edition of “NBC Nightly News” and hosted “Time and Again” as well as a weekly newsmagazine, “Real Life with Jane Pauley.” She is also recognized as a powerful advocate in the field of mental health.
