Cronkite Scholarships
Each year the Cronkite School awards to its students more than $100,000 in scholarships in amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000. These scholarships are possible because of the generous donations of Cronkite alumni, local media companies and organizations and other benefactors who want to help worthy Cronkite students complete their educations. All students who have been accepted into the Cronkite School are eligible to apply. Some scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen based on their application materials. Freshmen do not have to apply for these scholarships; they will be notified if they have received an award prior to the start of their freshman year. To apply for a Cronkite School scholarship, you must fill out the online application form available at https://jmcforms.jmc.asu.edu/scholarship/form.html. The online application becomes available Dec. 15 and is due Jan. 31 for awards for the following fall and spring semesters. Note that the application requires an essay of 350 words or less. We suggest that you write your essay in advance and copy and paste into the appropriate place on the form. Please be aware that scholarship selection committees will review your application and essays; thus we highly recommend that you check your spelling and grammar. We advise you to print a copy of your scholarship application for your records. Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Only one application form is used for all scholarship awards. By completing the online application, you will be considered for all applicable Cronkite School scholarships. You should receive an e-mail confirmation by Feb. 15 stating that your scholarship application has been successfully received. If you do not receive a confirmation, please e-mail CronkiteScholarship@asu.edu. If you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will be notified via letter sent to the address you have on file with ASU. Please note that the types of scholarships available, scholarship amounts and number of scholarships are subject to change each year. |
