Undergraduate Program Fee

The Cronkite School charges an undergraduate program fee of $250 per semester for the fall and spring semesters. This fee is applied to all undergraduate students admitted to the school starting in fall 2007, but only when the student reaches junior or senior standing.

All journalism class fees are waived for any student paying the program fee.

The new six-story Cronkite School building in downtown Phoenix boasts state-of-the-art technology, including three major multimedia newsrooms, eight other computer news labs, more than 50 digital editing bays and two TV studios in addition to traditional seminar rooms and lecture halls. The $71 million building is being funded through the $223 million bond initiative that Phoenix voters overwhelmingly approved in 2006. Meanwhile, the University is investing millions more in new digital equipment for students throughout the new building. The program fee is dedicated to maintaining and upgrading these facilities and equipment, as well as ensuring that students have access to them not just during the school day, but at night and on weekends.
