Visiting International Journalism Scholars

Periodically, distinguished international journalism scholars visit the Cronkite School.

Deni Donevski is a public relations professional from Macedonia who has come to the Cronkite School to develop leadership proficiencies in the business community. He hopes to leverage his American experience to take up a new, meaningful role in either the government or private sector to further Macedonia's civil society.

In Macedonia, Donevski has worked with several TV networks and the biggest publishing house in the country, Media Print Macedonia. He currently works for MultiMedia House Centar, whose mission is to help businesses create and improve their social media profiles across platforms from website creation to social media outreach.

Mei Jiao, who has a Ph.D. in journalism and communication from Fudan University, is a lecturer in public relations at Shanghai International Studies University with an emphasis on global communication. She also has served as director of the International Cooperation Department of the Fudan International PR Research Center and editor of the Shanghai Economic Forum. In addition, she has been involved in numerous large-scale national and municipal research projects, including promotion of the Shanghai World Expo 2010. She has worked in television and is the author of two books.
