Caesar Andrews, Edith Kinney Gaylord Visiting Professor in Journalism Ethics

Caesar Andrews will teach ethics and diversity courses during spring 2011 at the Cronkite School, as the Edith Kinney Gaylord Visiting Professor in Ethics. Andrews served as a guest journalism professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2010 and in a similar visiting position at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., in fall 2009. Andrews was a senior editor over nearly 30 years in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington and Michigan, where he completed his Gannett Co. career in 2008 as executive editor of the Detroit Free Press. Andrews also served as editor of Gannett News Service with oversight of the Washington bureau and was a member of the original staff of USA Today. Andrews has a B.A. from Grambling State University in Grambling, La. Andrews will teach courses in journalism ethics and diversity at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in spring 2011. As the Gaylord Professor, he also will work individually with students and faculty and headline a major public event at the school. | |
