Lanny Brent, a Sun City resident and veteran, is trying to get a state board to name a north Phoenix mountain "Veterans Mountain." The mountain, within the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, isn't named. The city of Phoenix doesn't favor the move, but Brent's campaign got a boost Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, when two state lawmakers and a group of veterans held a news conference to support him.
