Almost 50 years after they were wiped out in the area as pests, black-tailed prairie dogs have returned to the grassland of southern Arizona. A state program has reintroduced 74 of the creatures into artificial burrows near Sonoita. While some ranchers in the area aren't pleased, officials say prairie dogs are good for the environment.
