Marshall Trimble, Arizona's state historian, recalls the former glory of the Westward Ho in downtown Phoenix. The hotel once was a symbol of luxury that drew movie stars and national politicians. Closed in 1979, the Westward Ho now is housing for low-income senior citizens.
