Why Choose Us

The Cronkite New Media Academy provides professional, hands-on learning for people who want to learn or update their digital media skills. Since the summer of 2009, nearly six dozen people have completed the academy. Participants include everyone from journalists and entrepreneurs to business professionals and those who want to operate personal websites.

The academy is a program of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, widely regarded as one of the nation’s best journalism schools and a national leader in digital media education. The school is located in a new, state-of-the-art facility in downtown Phoenix.

Cronkite Dean Christopher Callahan said the need for digital media training has grown exponentially in the past few years. “The Cronkite School is uniquely positioned to serve that need,” he said. “We have the most advanced technology, and we have a faculty and staff who are leading the country in the field of digital media.”
