A gift of securities can be an effective way to support the Cronkite School. If you have held your securities for more than a year and transfer them directly to the Arizona State University Foundation, you can receive two tax benefits. Your gift will be eligible for the standard income-tax deduction as well as help you avoid the capital-gains tax due on the sale of your securities.
