The Cronkite School will award a travel stipend of up to $300 to Cronkite students who place in the top-three of specific national contests. This travel stipend is to be used to attend national awards ceremonies for the following contests as selected by Cronkite faculty and staff: RTNDA, SPJ, Hearst, BEA, ONA, AEJMC, BEA, IRE, RFK, Webby, CPSA, NASA, PRSSA and EPPY. Former students are eligible for the stipend if they produced the award-winning work as a student.
If a team of students qualifies for an award, travel stipends will be limited to two members of that team. A student or her/his faculty adviser must notify the Cronkite School business office and apply for the awards ceremony travel stipend at least 30 days prior to the awards ceremony to be eligible.
