Cronkite School Tours and Visits

The Cronkite School holds regular building tours and information sessions for prospective undergraduate students that provide in-depth information about Cronkite's programs, curriculum and student opportunities, usually from a knowledgeable staff member.

We recommend that students visit on a Monday or Thursday in the heart of the semester (Sept. 15 through Nov. 24) as that timing affords families the added opportunity to also visit classes, see students in action and meet key faculty members. Cronkite Day (an all-day special event on Oct. 31) is another excellent opportunity to visit. See below to verify that there is a tour of Cronkite offered on your planned date prior to booking your travel arrangements.

Campus visits have reached capacity on Cronkite Day. If you would still like to register for the Cronkite School's afternoon open house (which includes a tour of the Cronkite School), email

Cronkite also welcomes visitors on most dates when a campus tour is offered. Spring tours commence at roughly 11 a.m. (following the campus tour) on the following dates:

  • Mondays (11 a.m.): Jan. 5, Jan. 12, Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb. 23, March 2, March 9, March 16, March 23, March 30, April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18

The Cronkite tours are preceded by a campus and housing tour and ASU information session.

An optional session Mondays and Thursdays when school is in session between Jan. 26 and April 23 allows prospective students to observe the Cronkite School's nightly newscast on PBS.

You can reserve your spot at NOTE: Be sure to check "downtown Phoenix campus" and "communications and media" on the drop-down menu then "journalism" on the page that follows in order to be sure there is a Cronkite School session available on your preferred date.
