Directions to the Cronkite School Downtown Phoenix Campus

We are located at 555 N. Central Avenue on the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Fillmore Street. These directions will take you to visitor parking north of the Cronkite School. Walking directions from the lot to the building are below.

From the ASU Tempe campus / East Valley via U.S. 202
  • Head west on University Drive to Priest Drive
  • Take Priest Drive north to the 202 West
  • Merge onto 202 westbound toward downtown Phoenix
  • The 202 West will become I-10 West
  • Exit right at 145A to 7th Street
  • Turn left (south) onto 7th Street
  • Turn right at E. Fillmore Street
  • Turn left into the visitor parking lot

From the East Valley via U.S. 60

  • Head west on U.S. 60
  • Take the exit onto I-10 West toward Phoenix
  • Exit right at 145A to 7th Street
  • Turn left (south) onto 7th Street
  • Turn right at E. Fillmore Street
  • Turn left into the visitor parking lot

 From Tucson / Southern Arizona via I-10 West and US 60 East
  • Take the 1-10 West
  • Exit right at 145A to 7th Street
  • Turn left (south) onto 7th Street
  • Turn right at E. Fillmore Street
  • Turn left into the visitor parking lot

From Flagstaff / Northern Arizona via I-17 South

  • Take I-17 South
  • Take exit 200A to merge onto I-10 East toward Tucson
  • Exit right at 145A to 7th Street
  • Turn right (south) onto 7th Street
  • Turn right at E. Fillmore Street
  • Turn left into the visitor parking lot

Westbound light rail directions to the Cronkite School

  • Stop at Central Avenue and Van Buren Street.
  • Exit the train and turn right. You are now on Central Avenue facing north.
  • Walk north on Central Avenue and cross Polk Street.
  • Continue north to the crosswalk in front of the Civic Center.
  • Walk East across Central Avenue.

Eastbound light rail directions to the Cronkite School

  • Stop at 1st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
  • Exit the train and turn left.  You are now on 1st Avenue facing north.
  • Walk north to Polk Street.
  • Turn right (east) toward Central Avenue.
  • Continue east and cross at Central Avenue.
  • Turn left (north) to the Cronkite building

  • Turn left (south) and walk down Central
  • The main entrance to the Cronkite School will be on your left.

Student Services is located in Suite 222 on the second floor.
The Leadership Suite is located in Suite 302 on the third floor.

Building Hours
The Cronkite building is open to the public Mondays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The building is accessible to students, faculty and staff on Saturdays from noon to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
